One Heart Wild ~ Education Sanctuary
Equine Experiential Learning & Therapy Professional Co-Op
Being in nature, combined with relational activities with horses can inspire solutions to life, relationship and career challenges that are often directly transferable to our everyday human experiences. In addition to helping us find a more congruent, relational, centered approach to our life and work, recent studies show that equine experiential activities also contribute to lowering the levels of the stress hormone cortisol in our bodies.
Learning Together through Mutual Connection
Horses & humans are both social bond-oriented mammals. Our biology calls for cooperation and to create meaningful relationships. Through connection with an animal in nature, we can learn about emotional congruence, authentic connection, leadership, courage, power, mindfulness, integrity, body language communication and intention.
Horses help humans develop awareness of self, environment and others, understand what our body language conveys and to discover how well our boundaries are functioning. The herd seeks mutual understanding and connection within the strength and clarity of our authenticity.
New Possibilities for Life & Work: Joy, Confidence, Leadership
Experiential sessions with horses are not about horsemanship or riding and no horse experience is required to enjoy the benefits of an Experiential Learning or Psychotherapy session. Horses are inclusive social mammals. Within the herd every horse has a purpose, is valued and contributes to the social cohesion and safety of the herd. These are vital social, emotional and somatic lessons that horses help humans experience, in the present moment, so that they can then integrate the lessons into their own lives.
